Initializing a Strategy Live

After Initalizing a Strategy and assuming we're trading 1 contract, is it necessary to manually enter a trade to match any open trades the strategy displays on my chart? I can see PL dashed lines showing round trips, but there is usually one open trade that the strategy shows "in progress". If I don't match this trade manually the next strategy trade, if reversing will be entering 2 contracts to reverse. If I am not in the market yet, I will now have 2 positions instead of 1 because the strategy thought it was in the market but in real life it wasn't. If the strategy is supposed to be exiting and I am not in yet, I will now be entering 1 contract instead of exiting.

Is there another workaround or is it necessary to match the strategy's trade?

What you will want to do will depend on the strategy position and the settings defined in Tools > Options > Strategies > NinjaScript tab.

Ok, I read the article and I looked at the "Wait until flat before executing live" option. So does this option fix the issue as described in "An extremely common scenario…" or do you still have to match the "Strategy Position" with your "Account Position"?

If you set wait until flat, the strategy must reach a flate state before submitting orders to an account. You wouldn't submit a manual order. As long as your account is flat at the start, then the strategy position should match the account position.
