i have one question. suppose i design a trading system in ninjatrader which auto trades based on buy and sell conditions coded within the system. Now suppose the buy signal is generated automatically and ninjatrader bought a contract. After this there is no sell signal in my coded system. but i want to sell off my contract manually, then can it be done? or will it be a problem like i sold the contract manually and then the coded system gave exit signal and one more lot got shorted automatically which should not have happened(because i had already exited my position).

In short, is it possible to manually overide the coded autotrading system in ninjatrader(whenever we want to)? And after that manual trade, the coded system will continue autotrading as before?

If you want to take manual action also while autotrading signals, I would suggest calling ATM strategies in your NinjaScript strategies for this - an example is shown in our SampleAtmStrategy installed per default.

Yes thats helpful. i have one more question. Can we create and backtest strategies in demo account also?

If you are asking if the Free Version NinjaTrader license key allows you full feature access then ‘yes’, you will be able to create & backtest strategies in the simulation account.

Note: This does not include the free Direct Edition license key.
