Accessing Instrument on Different Timeframe

I've had to go back to at least 4/8/2010 and then I get results.

If I set min bars req'd to 1, I then get results if I set from date to 5/5/2010.
Not sure I understand that. I'm guessing it needs a certain number of daily bars before the backtest will calculate, but why 4 days?

Min bars required is the minimum number of bars required for your strategy to start actually processing its logic. This requirement needs to be satisfied by all series you may have at the same time. If there is one series that has more data then the other, unfortunately it won't start until all meet the requirement.
