linking limit or stop orders to an indicator

Hello,

I use NinjaTrader 6.5 for chart trading, and I am looking at getting into using some scripting in NT. I am a software programmer at my work.

I have used the Open E-Cry OEC Trader program, and in it, you can link orders to an indicator and have the order price track the indicator until filled. Once my order is executed, I would like to be able have automatically entered target and stop loss orders, and to choose whether to link either of them to an indicator as well.

I would like some advice about how to go about creating similar behaviour in NT. Could you help please?

faringdon, welcome to our forums - this is unfortunately not supported per default, however this can be easily created via custom coding in NinjaScript -

As for placing exits automatically, you can call ATM strategy templates for exit management from our NinjaScript strategies, for an example you can review the SampleAtmStrategy installed per default.
