Monitoring in Real Time

Hello,

I am new to NinjaTrader.

I like to create a strategy to buy when RSI goes above 70 and would like it to be monitored during the day. What do I put into the ninjascript or strategy wizard if I want to buy based on a daily 14 day RSI passing 70 during the day with real time or delay quotes?

My intra-day chart can be 5 or 15 minute intervals but I only want to buy if the 14 Day RSI passes 70 during the day.

Hi Bob, unfortunately the intrabar formation of the higher daily bar is not known in backtesting with the strategy wizard, thus you would need to resort to custom coding for this approach.

For live execution you could create this strategy with the wizard and then apply it to daily charts running on CalculateOnBarClose = false. This is however not applicable to backtesting -
