Do not want multiple entries in same direction

Can anyone help me with this issue? In my strategy I'm getting multiple entries after getting stoped out if the market is trending against me. I would like to be stopped out and then not enter again until the opposite postion is called.
My thought is this but I don't know how to code it:

// Look for last postion
if (LastPosition=short)
{
take no shorts
}
Is this posible to do?
