Order Method General Questions

1. I need clarification on reversing market positions. Case: I am Enter long of 1 share in the market. Then if I don't stop out or hit a profit trigger, do I need to sell 2 to reverse or should I exitLong and then sell 1, or just sell 1 which would automatically get me out and place an order to sell?

2. How can I cancel a stop? Case: I am in the market as a buy, with a stop of 1 point that was set at a specific price (mode = price). I reverse my position but the stop is still set at the price. The system is getting me out becaue my stop is set, but I don't want my stop set at this price anymore.

3. Can I issue a setprofittarget and at the same time issue an exitshortlimit at the same time. If one of them hits, my market position should be flat. Then are both of them reset when the one of them hits for the order?

TradingDreamer,

1. To reverse just call the new Enter() method, they would reverse automatically as needed.

2. Just call SetStopLoss again with the new value.

3. Please review the bottom section of this link - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...verview36.html as it deals with NT's internal order handling rules operating 'under the hood' - unfortunately you't mix Exit() and Set() methods at the same time (SetProfitTarget is a limit exit order, so I'm not sure what the idea behind this is).
