running external process

I was wondering if there was a way to run an external process through a strategy.

After a strategy executes a trade, I would like to run an external process that calls a binary (to send an email or SMS text). Is this possible?

Ken, unfortunately not supported but most likely doable with general C# methods. Why don't you use the SendMail() feature in NinjaScript directly?

Thanks Bertrand. I cannot use the SendMail because my provider is AT&T which not only uses SSL for e-mail, but actively filters port 25 so that I can't connect up to an external SMTP server. I believe this is now the case for many broadband providers. I have no way to send emails through NT which is why I need to rely on an external process.

I see, thanks for the reply - NT7 will offer a more flexible option to deal with this.
