Please forgive if this is a stupid question, I'm a NT newbie.
I have a strategy that is always in either a long or short position depending on whether a fast moving average crosses below or above a slow moving average. So, basically, when the strategy is in a long position and the indicator says to go short, it will close its long position and immediately place an order to go short.
My question is, I want to set the option in my "strategy" tab to be "Wait Until Flat"...but if I'm immediately going from a long position to a short position (and vice versa) at the same time, will it still register as having "been flat?" My fear is that right now my strategy position is long and my actual position is flat, but when the indicator says to go short, that the short order still won't go through to my broker because since the long exit and short entry orders are happening concurrently I never really will be "flat".
