Strategy on Chart Question

I backtest my strategies on fixed time frames(8am-10am) on the strategy analyzer. My question is,if I opened up my chart and in chart properties, i put my session start time at 8am and stop time at 1030am. will this have the same effect of starting my strategy loaded on it at 8am and stopping it at 10am?

You could enter the chart session times like in the Strategy Analyzer as well, however then you would not have access to all historical data to give indicators time to normalize before making a trading decision, for this please set up time filters for execution in the strategy code directly -
