custom indicator value from strategy

i have a custom indicator which alerts when it hits a condition.
for eg.

i can see the alert realtime as i have
CalculateOnBarClose = false;

I am trying to use it from a strategy but for some reason, i cannot get it to work.

for eg.
if(HH7(1).HH7_[1]==1){
Print("got a HH7 alert");
}


i can never see the Print statement even though i can see the alert. i am sure its some coding error, but cannot find out quick enough.
appreciate any help.

Is this HH7_ dataseries a Plot in the indicator you call?

If not, then you would need to expose this dataseries in the Alert indicator to make it accessible from the strategy -

Ok, then please remove the CalculateOnBarClose setting from the indicator Initialize(), then retry accessing the value from the strategy.

any reason why removeing the CalculateOnBarClose = false;
does the magic.
because, the default value is CalculateOnBarClose = false

There is a known bug with CalculateOnBarClose from hosted indicators.
