Daily Bar Strategy Recommendation

I use Zen-Fire, understanding its limitation on NO DAILY BAR data. So I subscribe to a historical daily data feed also.

I trade GLOBEX futures (minis)

My QUESTION (actually a request for anyone's recommendation or critique of my dilemna):

Since the Globex market is virtually 24 hours a day, would anyone recommend using Zen-Fire and 1440 minute time BARS over DAILY DATA? The reason I ask is that DAILY DATA is relagated to Globex hours (17:00 to 16:00). So any ENTRY or EXIT calls at the conclusion of a BAR may actually be a bad trading time of day (liquidity issues...larger B/A spread).

using 1440 min BARS allow me to designate starting/ending time of BAR (say 10:30am or whatever). Might this be preferable based on instrument being traded?

Is there any reason NOT to use 1440 min BARS to replicate DAILY algorithims?

You can try, but it is not exact. Daily bars are built by what the exchange deems is the close/open. Whether your minute data lines up perfectly with that is unknown.
