I've developed and backtested a NinjaScript strategy. Now what?

Hi all, First-time caller here.

I've recently completed a NinjaScript strategy that appears to be quite solid and I've done enough backtesting on it to make sure it works.

However, when I try to actually *do* any live trading with it, nothing happens. I've applied the strategy under the strategies tab under the control center and hit start. I've enabled ATI. I've hit stop and then start and everything in between, and I've also "backtested" against live data.

Can anybody point me out to a link or something that would show me how to actually use my NinjaScript in live trading and actually have it *work*?

My broker is Ameritrade. Any help here would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forums. You do not need ATI enabled to run a NinjaScript Strategy. You should have this off. When you run the strategy live do you receive any messages in the Log tab of the Control Center?

To get you up and running, it may be easier to visualize what your strategy is doing if you add it from a chart. Please see this link: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...romAChart.html

Yep - applying towards the chart seemed to do the trick. However, now I'm out of sync, but I can take care of that. Thanks for the quick reply!

I guess one more question, if you don't mind - when running the strategy against the chart, it doesn't give me the option to choose when a session begins and ends like the backtesting did. Normally, I'd like it to be during the usual market open/close (9:30-4:00) but there may be some days that I'd like to change it.

Is there a way that I can set the default session times, or is that built in?

Also, I assume I need to enable the strategy against the chart *before* the session starts in order to be in sync, correct?

When you run it off of a chart, the session begin/end times are determined by the chart. Double click on the chart to change the begin/end times of the chart. You will want to run the strategy before market open to get it to work on the open. Please see this article on syncing: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=4033
