Default Parameter Values

I've written a strategy and after optimizing and finding the parameters I would like to run, I adjusted the default values in my code. However, the old values continue to be the defaults. I've restarted NinjaTrader and still the same thing. Why would my strategy hold the old default values?

Have you compiled with the new values? Are your variable names shared with any other strategies? You will need a new instance of your strategy so please remove all instances by closing the Strategy Analyzer and trying with a new one.

I've compiled with the new values, restarted NT, and even rebooted my computer. All the variables are private so they shouldn't be shared with anything else. However, I do have another strategy that uses many of the same variable names, but they are all private as well. Could that be the problem?

That is indeed the problem. Unfortunately you will need to use separate variable names.
