As stated, the nature of backtesting comes with its limitations. NinjaTrader will not allow you to trade in the past and "cheat". When you don't have intrabar granularity the only thing that can be done is trade at the next possible trading location which is the next bar's open. Perfect. I will look into that. Now the only questions left are: if I apply the strategy for a walk forward basis, will it execute at the earliest possible time (intrabar)? And If instead of execution I set up an audio alert, will it also execute on a intrabar basis? Thanks for all your help.

In real-time it will execute depending what you set CalculateOnBarClose to.

Cool, I'll try it again tonight. What should I set calculateOnBarClose to? I know to leave it unchecked on the strategy wizard.
