Programing an on/off button on a chart

How can I program a simple on/off button to show up on a chart, so the strategy can receive possible user input with each new bar? Any code examples would be greatly appreciated.

scokel, welcome to our forums! This is possible with C#, but unfortunately not supported by us.

I hope adding buttons to the tool bar with an indicator will be one addition with NT7. Other platforms like eSignal allow it. It would be great to click the button and click two spots on the chart to draw your custom pattern (similar to fibs, etc).

          Adding chart buttons

I did find a third party add on that does this. They do charge for it but at least I can now do what I wanted to. http://www.tradingstudies.com/produc...y-buttons.html

            Bertrand,

I just wanted to say thank you for providing a more helpful response than just saying NT doesn't support such and such. As you can see, the thread continued and a solution evolved. It's so helpful when you tell people it's possible. It's the motivation one needs to pursue the solution. Win-Win for NT and its users!

            Nice job.
