Good Til Canceled

I've created a strategy that I would like to run over a number of days. I need orders to stay in force until they are canceled. While backtesting, although I set the TIF to GTC, the orders are still being canceled at the end of day. I would like to process my strategy using daily and/or weekly bars. Why is my TIF setting being ignored during the backtest? Is this a historical data usage problem?

While backtesting there is an option called Exit on Close. Please turn that to false.

thanks for the quick response and for pointing out something that i should have noticed - as a follow-up, is there a reason why choosing 1-day bars would display no information? I set Exit On Close to False, TIF to GTC, 1 Day Bars, perform the backtest and get no chart.

You actually need daily bars to make a daily chart. Please ensure your data provider offers daily information. http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...HistoricalData

eugenedw, yes 1440 min charts are a common workaround if your provider does not support historical daily data.
