Ease of movement dips and rises

My strategy is coming along well but I've hit a wall in trying to work out a way to incorporate a condition whereby the dip or "hump" in an ease in movement indicator is compared to a previous one.
The RISING / FALLING condition doesn't seem to be able to compare previous humps or dips.

Hey thanks- that link really helped. I realized that the rising feature is something that works best in moving averages rather than other indicators like an ease of movement.
I am simming the strategy at the moment and wonder why after each sim trade the strategy disappears from my chart? Is there a way of making it stick?

Can you explain what you mean exactly? The strategy removes itself from the chart/strategy tab all by itself? If so, please post the strategy file and I will test it.

I cant upload the file code

the code is too big! Or is there a better way? My two questions are 1. how come when I am running the strategy in sim and a position closes- the strategy disappears from my chart and I have to manually put it back? and 2. I'd like to include a condition whereby a trade is only entered once the macD average has moved from the opposite side of the zero line. This will get rid of a heap of unwanted trades

You can send as the strategy to support at ninjatrader dot com and then reference this thread - do you close the trade from the strategy manually when you see the strategy becoming terminated?

I noticed that the Ease of Movement indicator doesn't show only with the TF futures contract chart. It's blank in live action and replay. Any reason for this? Show's up fine on ES.

What settings would you be using? The standard ones produce an ok display for me here in testing on TF 12-14.

I'm using EOM (14) with TF 12-14 in a renko chart. EOM does show up in a 5 minute chart. So, the issue appears to be with tick charts.

Is there any error in your log tab? Looks so far stable in my testing here. Was using default settings for the EOM and a 5 Renko TF 12-14 using Kinetick data.

No error message in the log. I'm using CQG with 14 days of data. Just tried with CL with same result, indicator is blank. I don't have this issue with any other indicator. Also, I created a strategy with EOM for TF. The strategy is green in the workspace but never entered a trade all day. Should have entered at least one trade since its a simple cross strategy using the mid line. The strategy did work for ES.
