Issue with Entries Per Direction...

I've set entriesperdirection to be 3.... yet when I run my strategy I sometimes notice I'm long 4 or 5 contracts.... any reason as to why I'm getting more entries than I've set?

BigDog, is your EntryHandling set to AllEntries? If it is not, then there can be up to 3 contracts per direction per uniquely named entry.

yes it is set to all entries

Does this happen with a new instance of the strategy? Can you try closing the Strategy Analyzer, restarting NinjaTrader, and then starting your strategy again?

You can also set TraceOrders = true. Here is a link showing how to debug your NinjaScript code.

EntriesPerDirection should set the max position size. Please take a look at my previous post. You may have to debug your strategy.
