IOrder Stop & Reverse Cancel Catch 22?

Hi,

Do I understand this correctly?

1. My current position is Long 1 from a resting EnterLongStop( ... ) order.
2. I've placed ExitLongStop( ... ) & ExitLongLimit( ... ) stop and profit orders.
3. A Stop and Reverse situation arises, and I cancel my stop and profit orders.
4. I place a resting EnterShortStop( ... ) order, but is never reached.
5. I cancel the resting EnterShortStop( ... ) order.
5. I try to replace my original stop and profit orders.
6. Error...Not possible.

So if I wish to enter Short, I must cancel existing orders, but if I cancel them, they are gone for good?

Do you have a suitable workaround?

It would be great to get an example of a Stop and Reverse strategy in the samples

Unfortunately this is a bug right now where once you cancel a stop you cannot resubmit it. What you can do is break it up into two orders. Modify your stop to be around where you wanted to stop and reverse. Once you stop out, send the EnterShort to reverse.

So just to make sure I'm on the right track...

Continuing with the above senario, I should place a Short market order once I confirm the Stop is filled in the OnOrderUpdate event?

Since it looks like we have to wait till the 4th quarter for a possible NT7 release, any chance one of you guys can take 15mins or so and provide this as an example for reference?

That would be the approach I would take. Thank you for the suggestion on the reference sample.
