Very Strange Bug

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it definitely merits writing support.

While Sim trading, using the ES 06-09 contract. I am currently long 1 contract at 923.25.

The unrealized profit flickers between valid amounts and like 383885.00.

Don't get me wrong, I would be very interested if that were real, but obviously there is something amiss.

So, if I'm L1, at 923.25, the Unrealized Profit/Loss showing should be independent of any issues that may be caused by my strategy, correct? If so, can anyone explain why this might be happening?

Where are you looking at? Have you rolled over your contracts? Please check your settings for the instrument in the Instrument Manager.

I still have this week to roll over, it's not mandatory that I roll as of Thursday. I'm on 06-09 ES as I stated in my post.

The instrument manager appears to be correct, it only fluctuates to that crazy number on certain ticks. Overall, it seems correct. What would cause this?

I am not able to reproduce this.

Can you test with a default strategy such as the SampleMACrossover?

Let me know if you are able to reproduce and the steps you took to do so.

I will do that, but an order is an order and my basis cost is my basis cost and should be independent of the strategy I would think.

I checked the Instrument and it appears fine.

I am checking the log and it says under position "Currency=unknown"

Could that have anything to do with the flickering between correct real time p/l and the 6 digit figure representing p/l?

I have not done the other test yet because I am running a sim and I can't mess up my results.

Something is definitely not right because when I check the results in Account Performance, it is showing I made 5 trades, with 1 loser, when in fact I can clearly see by the orders, charts, and the Strategy tab that we are currently 5 for 5 on the day. I also made sure to filter just today.

Something is buggy. Could be the machine, I will run more tests.

Can you try resetting your instruments to see if that corrects the currency issue?
Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Reset Instruments.

After this, remove the instrument from your default list using the > button and add it back using the < button inside the Instrument Manager.

I rolled over the contracts this morning, and same problem.

Happens on ES, TF.

Also, I am simultaneously look at everything on the Static dom and it's showing the P&L correctly. It's on the Unrealized part of the strategy tab that I am having it jump to high 6 digits on like every other tick or so (when it goes up or down or when negative or positive, doesn't matter).
