Opposing Entry Stop Orders

I have been searching the forum and see that Entry OCO orders (say a simultaneous Short Stop and a Long Stop) are not possible in a Strategy because of the Internal Order Handling Rules that ignores a order opposite to a active order. The question is how to get around it.

From what I've read, both Chart Trader and SuperDOM have the ability, so NT is able to handle OCO orders on Entry. Why not in a Strategy? I don't even care if they are OCO, I can write something in the OrderUpdate event to cancel the opposing order easy enough.

I can't begin to explain how frustrating it is to find my orders are being ignored.

Any pointers to a solution would be much appreicated. If there really is no answer, then I spent a ton of wasted hours on NT. That would be too bad, because NT really looked promissing. I have to beleive there is one though as NT can get around the Interal Order Handling Rules itself.

Changed to this 'safeguard' against unwanted positions are already on our list for future versions.

A common workaround is to monitor the last price and send only one order as needed by price action.

Seems like a very inefficient way to handle what should be a very simple program. If I can't place the order in the market, the action could skip through my price while the program is busy trying to determine if an order should be placed.

There has to be a way to override. I just can't believe there isn't. The program overrides it in other areas. Is it possible using Advanced Order Handling and the IOrder object?

I don't think waiting for the NT7 is the answer, it sounds like people have been waiting for that for a very long time with no end in sight. Or are you suggesting that this may be changed in a new build of 6.5?
