Using range in Strategy Wizard

Hi from Oklahoma

I am trying to incorporate a min range of x number of ticks
in a strategy and cannot seem to find the correct combo
within the wizard.

the condition would be something like this

Range of previous 20 bars > 25 ticks.

Any Suggestions on how to accomplish this or
references.

Hi, have you tried working with the Avg True Range (ATR) indicator for this?

I will try ATR for the intraday minute charts.

I dont think that will work for range charts.

Any Plan B?

Ok

I will play with this some, but i was thinking that a 12 range bar
would be 12 atr regardless of whatelse happened and however
many bars u wished to use for atr, I will do some experimenting

I see what you mean Lynn, the ATR would be expressed in points so a 12 bar ATR on the 12 Range would equal 3 then.
