Integrating Breadth or Other Third-Party (Non-Instrument) Data
I have some daily breadth data I'd like to integrate into a strategy. The data isn't provided via ticker by my data provider, so I need to integrate it from a non-NT-supported data provider that gives me the data as a csv-type text file with one line of data per day. Is anyone willing to share techniques to do this, before I go out of my own and implement the file reading and data parsing stuff on my own? I don't expect it is that hard to do, but if someone is already aware of some csv reading library that works nicely in NT 6.5, I'd be willing to give it a try first, especially if it can do things like query by date, provide field data by name based on the header line of the file, etc.Last edited by Anagoge; 05-02-2009, 07:33 PM.Tags: None

Anagoge,
You can create yourself a fake instrument in the Instrument Manager and just import your data that way. You will of course need to convert your file to adhere to these format requirements for the import to work though: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...V6/Import.htmlJosh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
