Store Avg Vol at This Time of Day Over Previous X Sessions

I'd like to compare the current volume with the average volume that an instrument does at a specific time of day.

For example, I'd like to be able to take an entry signal if the current volume so far in a given day is more than the average volume for that period over the previous X sessions.

Is there some similar sample code that I can use to get me started?
