only one buy or sell order at a time

I have written a simple strategy to

set 1-enter long

set 2-exit

set 3-enter short

set 4-exit

It seems as if the strategy is doing both at once. How can I assure that I will only be long or short at any given time.

Only place your entry orders if you are coming from a market position of flat. In the condition builder add yourself conditions to check for this. You can do that by expanding the Strategy category on both sides and selecting the appropriate items.

Part of my strategy is to open on the first fresh MA cross of the day but the backtest shows that the strategy is entering a trade on the open and not waiting for a cross. How can I arrange to wait for the first trade of the day upon the first cross of the day?
