Does Strategy work differently in Strategy Tab and in Chart?

I am wondering if strategy will trade differently if started on the Strategy Tab in Control Center versus starting in a Chart Window. The reason I am asking this is because sometimes my connection with IB is unstable which leads to missing candles as shown in the attached pic. If I only load the strategy on the Strategy Tab in Control Center, and not display the Chart, will the missing data still affect the strategy? I am loading a number of charts and only 1 or 2 of them got this missing data problem.

If you miss data it will be missing regardless of if you were started from the strategies tab or the chart.
