How to initialize variables?

How can I set this variable in strategy wizard

def cl = (open + high + low + close) / 4;

Hi ninja - welcome to our support forums! Unfortunately this cannot be done in the Strategy Wizard, have you tried using the inbuild 'Typical' from the 'Price Data' category for this?

If it can't be done in strategy wizard, can you point me to some source code example that is making use of variables? If I am understanding right, I will have to code it manually.
