IB ^ADD historical values

I am trying to use historical data from IB ^ADD as part of my strategies. However IB does not seem provide historical data on this, therefore the chart would only display the values in real time. Is there a way I can save the historical data of ^ADD for use inside my strategy? E.g. saving the information as it display in real time to an array or dataseries?

In Tools->Options->Data, you can turn on "Store real-time data" and that will save the data you load to your NinjaTrader database.
