Custom Period Type Problems

I am attempting to build a strategy that uses a custom period type to determine when to buy and sell. the actual buying and selling would take place on a tick period type.

My custom period type will not compile. It will accept only NT period types.

Can you help?

What are you trying to do exactly? We do not support making custom period types.

How can I get Renko bars and Tick bars into the same strategy?

Have Renko bars as your primary instrument and then in your strategy add the tick series.
