Data for Dec. contracts still loads

    Data for Dec. contracts still loads

    When i turn the NT on in the morning and connect to data source, I see that it tries to load data for already expired contracts although I have removed those contracts from the data manager and no chart windows for those contracts are open. How do i fix that?

    Another problem: I did not close couple of Dec contracts before those expired, so when I turn system off it always says you have two contracts open. How do i delete those? "Close" command has not been successful.

    Hi ju1234, I guess you refer to the March contract. Most likely those two issues are connected - are those trades on the simulator?

    If yes, please go to Tools > Options > Simulator > Misc and Reset it...this should clear the leftover trades up.

      No, IB data.

      I am using IB for realtime and backfill data. Running some strategies. I have three charts open.

      So, when i click on connect--- IB, it shows a window retrieving the backfill data for those three charts. The windows show me downloading or trying to download data for even the futures contracts taht have already expired and have been removed from the master instrument list.

        Please be absolutely sure you do not have any minimized workspace open in the background, or the instrument being called in any other area like the Control Center or some DOM.

          Yes, i am sure

          Thanks Josh. Yes, i have made sure over and over. There are no other charts open, no other workspaces open, no minimized windows, the control center all tabs have been checked. The master instrument list no longer have the expired contracts in the list. Still, on connecting to IB, i see the windows of the expired contracts i have ever entered in the system show loading the data for the expired contracts although there is no chart for them.

            Hi ju1234, can you please exit NinjaTrader and delete your workspace files from the MyDocuments\NinjaTrader 6.5\workspaces folder and restart NinjaTrader and reconnect to IB?
