When I closed the strategy it asked if I was sure because I had open orders. Will those orders go away, and if not how can I get rid of them?

Those orders will not go away. If they were live brokerage account orders/positions they are still at your brokerage. If they are Sim101 orders/positions you can clear them out by resetting your Sim101 account.

Forget about my real account or my real position. What I hear you telling me is that I don't have control over my strategy. I can't start flat. It's always going to start somewhere based on history. Strategies aren't flexible enough to start where I tell them to.

It's like the difference between imperative and functional programming. You can't dictate positions to your strategy, you have to instead give it parameters that allows it to *come* to that position.

You can only tell your strategy at what point to start running on... your strategy ALWAYS starts with a 'flat' view of positions. If you need your strategy to see a long "virtual" position, you have to setup in such a way that a new execution of the strategy does an EnterLong() during a historical bar.
