OCO stops with my automated system.

    Hello,

    I tried uses OCO stops by call SetStopLoss (signal_name, method, value, sim_mode (true));
But it conflict with my other orders. I can't send exit limit order...
Does it possible limit risk via send OCO stops with my automated trading system?

    Regards,
    Eugene.

    Eugene,

You are likely running into Internal Order Handling Rules. Please see the bottom of this article: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...verview36.html

Josh, this is not exactly what I'm waiting from you...
I'm using limits, profit targets orders (by send ExitLongLimit - I need change LimitOrderPrice offen)... But I like have guaranty in case my system will be crashed Exchange will close my position by STOP LOSS or PROFIT TARGET order. How does it possible?
      Let me know, please.

      Regards,
      Eugene.

        Eugene,

Just program your ExitLongLimit() and cahnge the prices when you want to. Whatever was the last modified price will be what is at the exchange when your system crashes.

If your system crashes you should ALWAYS contact your brokerage directly. There is nothing NT can do to help you when you crash. You need to go to your brokerage and handle your open orders/positions directly with them.

Josh, I guess I can only use SetStopLoss which send OCO order to exchange and close my position manually by call ExitLong ExitShort methods? I like have full automated system and do not like be around the PC when I should sleep...
Please, let me know about optimal OCO way.

          Regards,
          Eugene.

As mentioned, if your system crashes there is nothing NT can do. You need to address this with your brokerage directly. Close out your positions, cancel your working orders.

But when I call SetStopLoss for opened position NT sent OCO order and exchange will close opened position in case my system crashed. Right? I like use VELOCITY and they supports OCO orders...

It depends on which connectivity you are using. Please see this: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=5349

I guess VELOCITY which uses TT will allow me control my system via send OCO order (SetStopLimit). Any other tips are welcome... How I can control risks of 100% automated trading systems via send OCO orders.
                  Thank you.

                  Regards,
                  Eugene.

                    Eugene,

Please review the article posted earlier again.

                    Trading Technologies
Orders in a state "Accepted" or "Working" are at the exchange. If the exchange does not support a specific order type, the order will be active on the FCM's Trading Technology servers.
OCO (One Cancels Other) functionality is simulated on your local PC.

Finally, it mean i should use Interactive Brokers or TD Ameritrade for be sure that my OCO order will execute if my crashed. Right?

If you want OCO at the exchange that is what you will need. It is up to you to ultimately decide which one is right for you.

                            Eugene,

It is not whether they have OCO order types or not. It is if they accept it through the adapter connection. In the link provided earlier is the information on if they do or not.

Josh, please let me know exactly. For EUREX exchange via VELOCITY I'll have OCO simulated on local PC and in case my PC crashed I'll have big risk if market will go not in my direction. If I'll work via Interactive Brokers or TD Ameritrade they will execute my OCO order in case my system crashed. Right?
