Apply strategy to charts

Sometimes, particularly on a 3 minute chart, the strategy option does not display on the right mouse menu at all so I cannot run my script. Other times, it is there and works. If I take down the chart and start again, it might or might not be available.

Do you know why?

Strategy on Charts is available only when Chart Trader is disabled. This is likely your issue.

This one got me too.

As a suggestion, how about graying out and disabling the button instead of making it completely disappear?

And to be extra user friendly, change the message that displayes when you hover the mouse over the grayed out button to say "Stragegies - disabled while chart trader is open" or something like that.

In our next version of NinjaTrader following improvements will be available :
- toolbar button and context menu item 'Strategy' is greyed out instead of made invisible in case that applying of strategies is not possible
- in case of a disabled menu item in toolbar has now an explanation text in an ToolTip, describing, why it is invisible (ToolTips on menu items such as the context menu are neither windows conform nor possible, sorry).
