    Change in Indicator

    Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knows how I can create a condition, that shows the change in an indicator. Because I want to create for example the condition, that when RSI is reversing and going up by 20, then the system should buy. However, not only I want that condition not only to apply for a one bar change, but as well for more bars. For example: sometimes it could take the RSI 4 bars to go up by 20 points. How could I formulate that into a condition?

So overall, I don't want the indicator itself, I want the change in the indicator. Hope somebody can help me on that problem.

    Best Regards

    Custos,

You can do this through the Condition Builder. Please check out the instructions here: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...gyViaTheWizard

There are several other articles in the Help Guide. Please review them all for a better understanding of how to use the Condition Builder.

First of all, thanks for your response.

I read all the articles concerning the strategy wizard and the condition builder, however, I didn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I should make myself a little clearer what I want.
      Condition I want to create:
      Change(RSI) > +20.

Two examples: Let's say the RSI reached a valley five bars ago at -100 and it takes the RSI 4 bars to reach -80 (change of +20)

Second example: Let's say the RSI reached a valley 10 bars ago at -90 and this time it takes the RSI 9 bars to reach -70 (change of +20)

Because of the different amount of bars it takes to meet this "change" condition, I don't know how to build that with the conditioner.
I would like to know if it's possible to use the condition builder somehow to create an indicator, which just displays the CHANGE OF THE RSI, not the RSI itself, so I would overcome this problem.

Thanks again for your help, and if it has an obvious solution, then I am sorry I bothered you but would be really grateful if you could give me a hint.

      Best Regards

Unfortunately you cannot create loops in the Strategy Wizard. You will need to program it by hand. If you are not a programmer you may want to try contacting one of the 3rd party NinjaScript Consultants here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/pa...injaScript.htm
