How to check for new high

Hello,

I want to check the previous bar close to see if it is a new high or low relative to the past N bars. Does strategy builder allow you to do this? Any help is appreciated. It sounds simple but i have not figured how to do this in Strategy Builder.

Use the MAX indicator and then compare it to High[0]. If they are equal then the current bar is either the new high or matched a high of an earlier bar in your lookback period.

Not sure I follow - you build your condition from 3 pieces with the comparison operator in the middle...here are a few sample ones to get you started -
