How much can you plot from strategies?

My general question is: Can any kind of plotting and other UI interfacing which can be done from indicators also be done from strategies?

Yes, strategies can have plots on NinjaTrader 8. On NinjaTrader 7, usually a helper indicator is made and added to the chart by the strategy, then the plotting is done that way.

In NT7 strategies would need to make use of an indicator to plot. Going forward in NT8 strategies can plot but are more limited than indicators so we still suggest using an indicator.
