I am looking for a simple breakout buy / sell signal strategy based on volume. Here is the scenario: The volume of the last bar (bar 1) is much less (may be 10%) than the highest volume in say 10-20 bars ago. The the current bar (bar 0) volume is significantly higher than the bar1 with bar0 price being higher than bar1. This is the basic premise, of course it can be made more and more complex by adding more criteria to it like the stochastics etc. This fact is universally known and mass use of this will not really affect the success of this strategy, so I have no problem sharing it.

Great request - you could start with the Breakout Recognition post in our sharing section and add volume filters to it at a later stage...

Thank you Bertrand. I have applied this indicator and work with it for a while and when i become comfortable will make the changes with oyur help.

When applied is this iindicator supposed to have any plot on the chart other than drawing arrow when it is triggered? Thanks.

No, just the up / dn arrows and the Bull + Bear Breakout texts.

Try changing the TextOffset Input to something smaller if it plots too far away.

Mr. B, I opened the indicator through "edit indicator" and made a change in the text, changed the Red and green to Black and grey (i have red & green for other indicators). The i clicked on save to save the file. It was still giving red & greeen arrows. Also, when i tried to import something else, it said that there are errors in ninja script. So I deleted that file.

How are changes made to text of existing indicators / strategies?
