Variable input?

I tried to create a strategy with varaible in it. This is what I want to do:

MAX[VOL[], 5][0]>100000. In this equation I would like to replace the 100000 with a varaible number. In the "User defined inputs" I put under name "variablevolume". What is supposed to go in the boxes of default, min? Then in the right panel, Under User defined inputs I choose Variablevolume. But there is nothing in the drop down box below. What is supposed to happen.

Hi ju1234,

You will need to define your user defined input variable first by going back to the 'User Defined Inputs' screen in the Wizard, then you can reference it later in your condition.

Not working

I have created a user defined condition. In the "User dfeined Inputs" I have "variable volume, Int, 1000000, 100000, Volume" in each of those boxes. Then in the condition builder I have "Max(Vol[], 5,[0]>VariableVolume. And then i save the strategy.

When I apply this strategy, is the system supposed to ask me to fill in the value for the variable? It does not. It just applies the strategy. How exactly is this thing supposed to work? Thanks.

Hi ju1234,

Yes, once you've defined your user input variable you can enter a custom value later every time the stragegy is applied.

Please post screenshots of your condition builder screens here, so I can take a look of your setup.
