    Entering a Market Order if a previous Limit Order does not get filled

    I'm interested in a code snippet to do the following.

    I enter a limit order to open. But if that order is not filled by the next bar, I want to enter a market order to open.

    Thank you for your post.

    The reference sample "SampleCancelOrder" demonstrates how to place a limit order, then if the order is not filled within 3 bars it is canceled and a market order is placed instead. You should be able to use the same idea and modify the strategy to check for if the order is filled within 1 bar rather than 3 bars in order to meet your needs. The sample may be found here:

    When using NinjaTrader's Enter() and Exit() methods, the default behavior is to automatically expire them at the end of a bar unless they are resubmitted to keep them alive. Sometimes you may want more flexibility in this behavior and wish to submit orders as live-until-cancelled. When orders are submitted as live-until
