Using DI+ and DI- of DM in strategy

Hi

Are the diPlus and diMinus (or DI+ and DI-) values used in the calculation of the DM (and ADX) indicator available to be used in a strategy - and if they are how are the referenced. Please provide an example.

The question more generally is how do I know what components of an indicator is available to be used outside - I assume it has something to do with "public" and "private"
