Hi,

I would like to know what is the best way to proceed if I'm long and would like to reverse my position on target?

I submit protective orders on my position when I receive an execution report (I submit stop & target orders) so I tried to only submit an EnterShortLimit (as I'll be out of the position with the target) but it looks like it's not accepted due to internal error handling.

Any suggestions?

You could try submitting market order to reverse once the target is filled, you risk some slippage or, try submitting EnterShortLimit() which I think might generate two orders, one to exit (your target) and the other to enter the short position.

Thanks for your answer, just for clarification:

If I'm long a few contracts using multiple entries (using the advanced order handling logic) that all have their own stops & targets, I'll have to cancel all working orders (stops&targets) before submitting the EnterShortLimit which will reverse my position?
Also the quantity that needs to be set in the shortlimit is the totalquantity of all long orders + desired quantity or only the desired quantity I'd like to be short?

Yes, they would all need to be cancelled. Then you go short with the desired quantity.
