Referencing manually drawn chart objects in strategies?

I'd like to know if my strategies can interact with manually drawn chart objects?

For example, if I draw a trendline on my chart is there away to use that trendline in my strategy?

One use would be if I only want to enter trades in the direction of the major trend, and halt the strategy when the trendline is broken, or make my profit target a retracement/extension value etc.

Unfortunatley not at this time. This is on our list for consideration in NT7.

Good to know. I understand there is a lot of stuff planned for NT7 and I think this could be quite useful.

If each drawn object was treated as a unique instance and had properties there would be a lot of flexibility within strategies.


In the meantime I guess a possibility would be to create a line indicator and enter the variables manually.
