Creating Auto Trading strategy with the Mesa adaptive moving average

I need help creating a strategy with the MAMA indicator. I tried doing this in the strategy wizard w/o programming and it didn't work. I also need help running a strategy with Auto trader - either my own or an existing one. Does Zenfire support this?

You can use the MAMA in the strategy wizard. What is it you are trying to do? Where did you get stuck?

As for auto trading, do you have an orange or a grey icon second from the right on the chart tool bar? If it is orange and you do not have chart trader enabled, you can click on the orange "$" icon and apply your automated trading system to the chart. If the icon is grey and you do not have charttrader enabled, your license does not provide for automated trading.

If you want to try automated trading in sim mode please send an email from Help > Mail to support and tell us this, and we will provide you with a license to do so.

The Wizard says that I've created the strategy successfully, but when I try to use it on a chart I used the wrong indicator. In the log I get the message: Failed to call method "Intialize" for strategy "Mel". "Position property can not be accessed from within "Intialize" method.

Try updating your version of NT here:
www.ninjatrader-support.com/ninjatrader/nt6.5.custom/NinjaTrader.Install.msi


If that does not work please go to File>Utilities>Export and post the strategy file and I will test it in my platform.

To confirm, your wizard strategy is titled "Mel"? Or is that a different strategy that you have manually coded? Also, I could not find your strategy attachment anywhere. Did you happen to send it to Ben directly?

What is a Ninja Script consultant? Is that a last resort and can anyone recommend one on the list?

A NinjaScript Consultant is a company we refer people to for custom programming. They have to qualify to become a consultant partner. They are not a part of the NT company, but a partner with NT.
