Indicator --> Strategy

There is a great Indicator that I'd like help turning into a Strategy.

2.) Use the NinjaScript editor if you have programming knowledge:

Strat Dev

Thank you for your speedy reply.
I should have specified a bit more.

I have tried creating a new strategy from the indicator, and copied/pasted onbar code from ind to strat, then added 'enter long/short' where (I thought) appropriate.

There was a conflict with some existing filename (maybe the ind itself) when compiling.
Also, did not show up in strat drop-down when trying to backtest.

Tried the wizard, but list of user defined params seemed limited to 8 or 9 on the wizard screen.

I would like to run long and short positions against the arrow indicators.

Thanks. I will continue hammering through it. Just thought someone could provide a quick breakthrough that would save me a few days

You will need to resolve any compiling errors before proceeding. If you can't reslove your errors it may be easier to start from scratch.

Next, I recommend building the strategy in the Strategy Wizard. You can access your custom indicators via the Wizard just like any other indicator.

Then once you have some conditions built you can click on Unlock so you can edit the code.
