So, any suggestions on how to do this ? eg, it is possible to have a time chart that doesn't have a primary series (ie, "blank"), and allows one to plot prices using one second resolution ?

Blank Time Chart for Plotting Multi-Instruments?
I'm working with several different data series, some of them synthetic. The timestamps have one second resolution. So, if plotting on a one minute chart that needed resolution is lost. And, a one second chart has too much detail.

Hello spottysallrite,
Currently, there is no way to have a series-less chart or blank scale chart. In this situation, any plotting would be locked to the series you have so what you have described can certainly be a consequence of the series being used. I will put in a feature request for adding a blank axis chart for custom plotting. As far as suggestions, I really wouldn't have much to provide in this case as you noted moving up in time will lose detail and moving down in time will produce more detail. You would likely need to find a time that works for you and use that as the primary.
I look forward to being of further assistance.
