Please, if trades are entered and a certain profit is made thereafter , and Trade is then closed . if Strategy Builder is used in this case. Is this within The Ninjatrader Strategy Builder limits? thank you.

Hello Emma1,
You may set a profit target on the "Stops and Targets" page of the Strategy Wizard. In regards to what the Wizard is capable of; it is capable of basic logic and is not able to perform math. You may want to take a look at the help guide documentation for a general understanding of what the Wizard can do.

To place an order you will need to figure out what conditions you want to be true to place an order and then create that logic in the Wizard.

Hello Ninjatrader_JosG, I am trying to get at the question of using Ninjatrader Strategy Builder to build a strategy.Is it possible to just make references to Entering Trades , Exit and Get Profit target without considering either the bars on chart like high, low close ,open, Price# Action or not using indicators like RSI/MA , SimpleCrossOver, and Time of Trade.

Can ATM Strategy be programmed in NinjaTrader Strategy Wizard? This seems to cater for Profit Target.,Sloploss......

This is in reference to Stocks trade. thank you.

Hello Emma1,

You could certainly generate a strategy in the Strategy Wizard that just fired orders without any conditions, but that would not be recommended. If you created a strategy without any actions the strategy would be submitting an order each time the bar updates. Is this what you are trying to do?

Please , being that its stock related then,can ATM strategy be used in this case and also including some kind of Bars and time conditions to Profit Target and close routine. As all this has to be coded in a strategy wizard of some sort. Thank you

Hello Emma1,
You could set a profit target for an ATM strategy but you cannot have advanced conditions for an ATM strategy. I suggest giving the Strategy Wizard a try and seeing what you can come up with.

Please, is it sufficient to apply this trade for Ninjatrader to work (codewise).Example Trades are placed to execute immediately. The EA closes all trades for a certain level of Profit Target for the day. No indicator concluded in the trade.Thank you..

I'm afraid I am not sure what the question is.

Do you mean you are placing a Market Order?

I am unsure what "EA" is, but if you are comfortable programming you could set a daily profit target. Daily profit targets would not be something you could create with an ATM strategy or through the Strategy Builder.

Do you mean that an indicator value was not used as a condition in your logic?

yes, Trades are placed as Market Order, as soon as Profit Level is reached ,
the strategy closes all trades for a certain level of Profit Target for the day.
( indicators iare not used as part of the logic).
is this possible in coding as PnL/ATM strategy for Stocks, Futures.

Yes, this would be possible with unlocked code. It would not be possible with a simple ATM strategy or the strategy wizard.

My colleague Chelsea made the following forum posts that have examples of how to calculate daily loss inside a strategy. The same concepts in those examples would apply for adding a daily profit target.
