Problem with Trailing Stops and Interactive Brokers

Hello,

I am using a strategy that adjusts the trailing stops for a currency pair once i am in the position. However, on my first use of this strategy non of my trailing stop adjustment orders got accepted by IB.

After calling them i learned that with IB and currency pair trailing the minimum bid or ask that could be submitted was half a pip.

Eg.. my trailing stop math was moving my stops (or so i though) to:

1.24176 then to
1.24173
1.24169 etc..

but all orders were rejected by the IB api.

So as a result, i need a way to modify the instrument in Ninja Trader 7 so that the only orders it will allow the strategy to genera would be..

in this case:

1.24175 or 1.24170 etc..

clarification..

Maybe my question was not fully clear. Sorry.

What i need to figure out is how do I change the tick size for spot FX instuments. IB is requiring half-pip increments, and my platform is set for tenth of a pip increments.

Hello RAFTRADER,

To change this you would go to Control Center>Tools>Options>Data Tab. Then select Pip for Quote Currencies (FX).
