Stops & targets Submission

I'd like to know how the option "ByStrategyPosition" works with partial fills.

Let's imagine that my strategy is flat, and sends a limit order of 10 contrats at price X to open a long position.

A few minutes later the price touches my limit order but only 7 contracts are executed.

If the set up of my strategy is "ByStrategyPosition" the stop loss order to close that position will be send with 7 or 10 contracts?

I have been working with "PerEntryExecution" for a long time and it works well with partial fills (it would send just 7 contracts). I'd like to know how this works with this option.

Thanks for your post.

You would use "ByStrategyPosition" if you want all of your stops and targets to be placed at the same time within the same order. The caveat is this could result in more stop and target orders being submitted than the overall strategy position in a scenario in which the strategy's entire entry orders are not filled in one fill.

The orders would be set based on the distance from the initial fill price of the position and partial fills would result in "stacked" orders but at the same price levels.
