Multi-Time frame BarsSinceExit

Hi,

I want to avoid multiple entries in 1 same bar with a Multi-Time frame strategy. I have

If(BarsSinceExit(1,"",1)!=0....

but I'm still getting the multiple 1 bar entries issue.

Please review the helpguide on BarsSinceExit(): https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ssinceexit.htm as there is this note that may be applicable: "Note: When working with a multi-series strategy the BarsSinceExit() will return you the elapsed bars as determined by the first Bars object for the instrument specified in the barsInProgressIndex."

I would suggest printing out the value that "(BarsSinceExit(1,"",1)" returns to help debug your code. Please note that the last 1 indicates you are returning the bars ago of the previous exit, not the last exit which would be 0.

Alternatively you can save the current bar when you place your order and then add a check to see if the current bar is not equal to the saved bar. For example, using an int called savedBar:

if (Your conditions for entry && CurrentBar != savedBar)
{
// your entry method
savedBar = CurrentBar; //save entry bar to prevent reentry on same bar
}
